SCAD Atlanta is the universityâs main academic facility in Atlanta. The 360,000-square-foot building was constructed in 1956 and was the headquarters of iXL, an Internet services and consulting company, prior to SCAD moving into the facility in late 2004. The university held its first classes in March 2005. Located in the heart of Midtown, it not only provides students with an easily accessible locale, itâs also a heartbeat away from dozens of Fortune 500 companies that often ally with SCAD and provide a wealth of educational and real-world experiences. I brought my SLS 670 class and this workshop was incredibly helpful for my students. Everything that I've been teaching them about pitch and intonation all quarter was reinforced by this presenter, and I saw them excel in ways they haven't in my class because of the full body exercises he led us through. I will absolutely be bringing future classes to workshops like this!
