In woodworking, veneer refers to thin slices of wood, usually thinner than 3 mm, that typically are glued onto a core panel to produce intricate flat designs. Veneer is popular because it offers furniture makers and designers the ability to use several species of wood in the same design. Students will create their own composition using colorful wood veneer, perfect for a wall piece or trivet.
