This workshop will show the possibilities of mirror repeats for textiles; students can create circle designs, mirrored squares and borders. A demo of how to use Winsor & Newton gouache for textile design will be included, showing how to make successful color palettes and achieve flat color while painting the design.

Materials needed: Sheet of thin Bristol paper, sheet of tracing paper, some drawings to bring to class, paint palette, soft brushes with round head, sizes 2 and 4
