A humorous and visually hypnotic portrait of unlikely first love, Licorice Pizza is the story of Alana Kane (Alana Haim) and Gary Valentine (Cooper Hoffman) growing up, running around, and falling for each other in 1973 in the San Fernando Valley. Written and directed by heralded filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood), this freewheeling coming-of-age drama is a giddy, golden gem of a flick.
Tickets for the film, part of the Arthouse Cinema series, are $5 for SCAD card holders, $8 for students, military, and seniors, and $10 for the general public. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
