Part 2 of the workshop. Students must have completed part 1 to attend part 2. Professor Mike Wimmer will demonstrate the use of the Limited Palette in painting, and then discuss lighting techniques for achieving similar results. This workshop will also show examples and discuss techniques, and demonstrate achieving a good likeness of the subject. Afterwards we will break out to begin the painting process, with continued feedback and individual guidance and instruction from the professor. On day two, we continue the painting process and discuss the finish.

Materials needed: Oil paints and mineral spirits will be provided. Please bring the following or something equivalent: Paper palette, Filbert Hog Bristle Brushes size 10, 6, 4, Flat Hog Bristle Brushes size 10, 6, Round Sable brushes size 4, 6, 8, non-glass container for mineral spirits, paper towels or rags, favorite drawing material (pencil or charcoal etc), pre-stretched canvas or panel 11x14 preferred.
