About this Event
1600 Peachtree St., Atlanta, Georgia
Tunnel books are made of a series of cut-paper panels placed one behind the other in order to create the illusion of depth and perspective. Often, these are engineered like an accordion book, with the two outer covers pulling apart to reveal illustrated panels lined up and viewed through a front peep-hole. The structure is both game and book as well as story and spectacle. The structure itself is not complicated but it offers a rich and unusual reading experience. Join master bookbinder, Margot Ecke, as she teaches you how to make your own tunnel book using laser cut panels. Each student will leave with a completed book and instructions.
