In this four-part workshop we will focus on different draping techniques, make a bustier, a front skirt, and a back skirt for this garment. Students will learn to manipulate the fabric in the bias cut way, creating classic Hollywood dress styles from the 1930s when skirts were flowing and voluminous. Part 1 topics include how to prepare the dress form with the twill tape: Diagonal Styles, how to cut a fabric in the bias, how to apply the bias muslin on to the dress form and draping the top front in the bias/Draping the back top in the bias.
