Photographer Adam Kuehl (M.F.A., photography, 2014; B.F.A., photography, 2005) has built an impressive commercial portfolio of internationally renowned clients, including publications like Vogue, Architectural Digest, The New York Times, and National Geographic, as well as fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and Lanvin. Hear how he structures his freelance routine and adapts his work to different markets, from Savannah to Hong Kong.

Kuehl’s personal work is rooted in nighttime landscapes. His series Savannah Nights has been exhibited around the world and gained him inclusion in Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward Tenth as one of the “Top 100 Emerging American Photographers.” Kuehl was also named to the “25 Under 25: Up-and-Coming American Photographers” by the Center for Documentary Studies. After stints in Chicago and Hong Kong, Kuehl moved back to Savannah in 2020. Follow @adamkuehlphotography on Instagram.
