2022 Foundation Studies Portfolio Award Info 

The purpose of this annual exhibition is to acknowledge and recognize students who are committed to excellence in the whole of their Foundation Studies. As such an exemplary portfolio would speak to the breadth of Foundation Studies containing some combination of Design (2D, 3D, Color Theory) and Drawing.


Student Entries Deadline: Due Date:
Applications to this show are due Thursday, February 3, 2022 by 11:59 PM EST.


Virtual Exhibition Dates: February 12 – 19 (details TBA)

The 10 finalists will receive a $100 Ex Libris voucher.

One finalist will be selected as the overall winner and will receive a tuition scholarship for one class for a subsequent quarter at SCAD.

Any undergraduate student who has not accumulated more than 71 credit hours and has completed, or are currently enrolled in, at least one Foundation Studies course at the Savannah College of Art and Design.



  • An unofficial transcript (accessible via MySCAD) (see below for details).
  • Five original pieces of artwork completed for Foundation classes while attending SCAD.  Images should be saved at 72 PPI and placed into a PDF.  Each image slide should be numbered.
  • Separate inventory list with an entry for each work that includes the following information:

1. Name of student

2. Contact information

3. Title of work

4. Medium(s) used

5. Physical dimensions

6. Class in which it was produced (including the professor’s name)

Final Notes:
The FSPA committee holds the right to refuse any applicant that does not complete all of the required materials below.
