In this Drawing and Design Center Workshop, students will follow a systematic approach to the use of value for the creation of volume and depth.
They will learn
- To identify elements of light in groups of three and in groups of six, while drawing from direct observation.
- To use graphite pencils (2B, 4B, 6B) on white paper to depict a convincing illusion of depth in their direct or indirect observation work while using chiaroscuro.
- Complex versions of chiaroscuro to be examined in more detail During future workshops.
Materials to bring:
- Sketchbook
- Graphite pencils (2B, 4B, 6B)
- Kneaded eraser
