Creative director Phil Guthrie (B.F.A., broadcast design, 2009) founded Two Fresh in 2016. The Los Angeles-based studio specializes in design, production, and post across platforms with a focus on 2D/3D animation and live action. Prior to founding Two Fresh, Guthrie had tenure at Mirada/Motion Theory, The Mill, and other well-respected studios, where he played an integral role in conceptualizing and realizing multi-application graphics integration for live action. Guthrie’s credits also include concepting the prologue for Academy Award-winning director Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 blockbuster film Pacific Rim. Guthrie was the creative lead on music videos for Capital Cities’ “Safe and Sound,” which won an MTV VMA and was nominated for a Grammy, and Katy Perry’s “Roar,” which has more than 2.6 billion views. Guthrie’s art direction for a CG spot for the FIFA Women’s World Cup won a Gold Promax/BDA Award.
