Jinko Gotoh is an Academy Award-nominated and BAFTA-winning producer and consultant known for her influential work in the animation industry. Gotoh's passion for animation was sparked at an early age after a viewing of the Lady and the Tramp and a resounding meeting with legendary Astro Boy creator Osamu Tezuka. Her credits include the BAFTA-winning Klaus and The Little Prince, the Oscar-winning Finding Nemo and Oscar-nominated The Illusionist, as well as the films 9 and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. Gotoh began her feature animation career as a CGI producer on Space Jam. She later joined Walt Disney Feature Animation as director of digital production, where she oversaw the move to CGI animation and its extensive application on films such as Dinosaur, before a move to Pixar. Since leaving Pixar in 2003, her assignments have taken her around the globe working for major studios and independent films. Gotoh will reminisce on some of her biggest successes in the industry and offer advice on breaking into the animation world.
